Avgang 2025: Emma Leah Culén Khei / POP Liminal
The performance POP Liminal is Emma Leah Culén Khei’s graduation project in master dance at KHiO.
POP Liminal is a piece that investigates the relationship between dance and music. It is a collaboration between Emma Leah Culén Khei from the Master’s programme in dance at KHIO and Christian Moosdorf, a final year student at the Master of Music with Individual Concentration (FRIMA) at the Norwegian Academy of Music. Their work began from a common interest in abstracting the expression offered by commercial pop culture. Breaking from and returning to references from pop culture the dance performance explores a dancer's autonomy and pliancy in the meeting with music.
