LISTEN_IN 2019

LISTEN_IN 2019

First year MFA students and professors at Art & Public Space_MAPS are inviting you to Listen-In.

Location: ROM, Maridalsveien 3, Oslo.

Listen-In is a public platform to connect those of you who are interested to hear what we are reflecting upon, thinking about, and working on.
The floor will be open for conversations and presentations from 1pm onwards. Come and go as you please. We would be more than happy to welcome you and share some time together.

PROGRAMME

13:00 – 13:15
Welcome by Apolonija Šušteršič, professor, Head of Program Art & Public Space

13:30 – 14:30
Sarah Rezayat - CONVERSATION ABOUT DOUBT

What is immigration from your point of view? Sarah Rezayat has been discussing this issue with Iranian women and she would like to discuss it during her presentation.
She will create a small installation bringing the Iranian environment to ROM Gallery and serve Iranian tea.

14:40 – 15:40
Andrea Galiazzo - Adjustments infiltrations and other matters I shouldn’t be concerned about

Through anecdotes, intended as poetic transpositions of past episodes into the present, Andrea Galiazzo reflects on the meaning and function of autobiographical elements, trivial details and contradictions. He is currently working with texts as concrete objects, material manifestations of language disseminated and activated within the everyday, where they are exposed to chance and the circumstances.

15:50 – 16:50
Arely Amaut - Trying out cooperation

Arely Amaut is going to share some examples of cooperation that we are experiencing and the tools we are developing in each case. This practice of cooperation process allows us to create a space of learning, exchange and sharing. One of the main questions within this project is: How can artist work in cooperation with others in order to question the individualization of society?

17:00- 18:00
Alessandro Marchi - Critical Walking

“Walking in a city is like merging into a liquid. A viscous liquid that leaves stains and changes our tissues. The primordial soup boils inside us when exposed to life in new urban labyrinths.” Alessandro has been designing walks based on Oslo statistics. He is going to talk about them and invite the public to join him on future walks.

18:00 Party.

Very welcome!
