Galleri Seilduken: Walking Improv

Walking Improv is a participating based event hosted by Mingxuan Tan.

In this exhibition everyone will be invited to go on a walk and bring back found objects to install in Gallery Seilduken 2. The artist is interested in the relationship between human and the objects, and how movement of the human body could activate the energy of the gallery space.

Mingxuan Tan (b 1995, China) is an artist who is currently pursuing her MA degree of ceramics in Art and Craft department of Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She received her BFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has attended the artists in residency program in Creta Rome in Italy, Tiapapata Art Center in Samoa and Banff Clay Revival in Banff Centre, Canada. Mingxuan has exhibited her work at Gallery No One, Gallery 1922, and Sullivan Galleries in Chicago, U.S.; Creta Rome in Italy; and Khartoum Contemporary Art Center, Oslo, Norway. Her ceramics designed work was also present at Sight Unseen Offsite for 2018 New York Design Week in New York.
