Athens Jewelry Week

KHiO will visit the 3rd Edition of AJW. It covers four days of exhibitions, lectures and workshops, highlighting contemporary jewellery creators, their art and their authentic work.

The central exhibition is hosted by the Benaki Museum (Pireos Annexe) and it aims to present the exceptional work of about 40 selected artists. Two students, Johanes Lindh and Tove Sofie Eek-Kristiansen, will take part in the central exhibition.

AJW 2018 also includes group exhibitions that will take places in various venues around Athens, lectures and seminars. KHiO will be exhibiting in one of the central galleries; Coyoacan Athens. In addition Jorge Manilla Navarrete, professor of Metal and Jewellery Art and subject area coordinator at KHiO is invited to give a talk on the jewellery field in Scandinavia and compare with Greece "Between me, the visual and materials". All employees at KHiO Metal and Jewellery Art will be presented in Athens.

The closing of the event will be marked by an award ceremony. Awards will be given by international institutions/entities that are active in the contemporary jewellery field.

The jewellery week received applications from 30 different countries this year.
