BOUNCING NARRATIVES is an interdisciplinary collaboration between the performance artist Shahrzad Malekian (MAPS1), the choreographer Roza Moshtaghi (graduated 2017) and Schouskollektivet. With the main focus on “embodiment of (trauma) narrative”, this workshop will create a participatory space for sharing collective experience and knowledge through performance art, dance, and rituals.

Through a dialogue between movement and space, we will investigate representing the parts of memory that the narrator is not able to express in words, and instead communicates through physical expressions/gestures. We aim to give an aesthetic voice to the unspeakable and translate it into a collective physical/visual experience.

Based on an agreement with participators and their interest, the workshop could have a collective performance as an outcome. The result will be a show at the end of the workshop and is open to everyone.

Application guidelines
Schouskollektivet has as its goal to be "a platform for artists, by artists". Thereby participants with an artistic practice will be prioritized. We have the possibility of accepting maximum 10 people.

In order to participate, you will have to commit to the whole workshop. Send an email with information describing your artistic practice and why you would like to attend to: yourfalsememory@gmail.com
