Performance

Akademirommet: Rose Et Noir

Akademirommet: Rose Et Noir

A performance by 1BA student Alexandra Vasić, in three parts with sorrowful statements, accompanied by melancholic music where the placed kitschy materials come into life, into a seasonless and surreal world.

Opening : Thursday March 30, at 19:00, performance: 19:30-19:45
Open: Friday and Saturday 17:00-20:00

In the first step, a pink horse enters the room, symbolizing the humans in a capitalistic society as an ideology, which leads to the next step where the rosy shimmer turns out into a burned soul. In the last step, I show up as reawakened.

The performance splits the fragile body into two separate elements, flesh and the productive machine, and then divides these further, in an attempt to find the smallest common denominator between the public, the sampled artificial objects and myself.

The conclusion that comes out is that everything consisting of atoms, at some point will face what is considered as some kind of death. Precisely, at the center of the performance is the taboo subject death. An invitation for a reflection about the subject as a way to forget about time, to focus on life as a result.

Alexandra Vasić

has earlier, amongst other professions, worked as an engineer within heating, ventilation and sanitation and has an inspecting way to encounter her works.
