Avgang 2026: Radoslav Paulech / Exploring the darkness

Avgang 2026: Radoslav Paulech / Exploring the darkness

Participants are invited to individual and group explorations in complete darkness.

I am the witness of myself. At least for a moment, I choose not to be overwhelmed by thoughts, concepts, sensations, emotions, stories, ideas, information, images and experiences. Only me and attention. Who are those other bodies? What does it mean to be in this one? I choose to experience a timeless space without any light. Just my natural glow.

In Radoslav Paulech’s master project (MA in Theatre) participants are invited to work-in-progress sessions in complete darkness where they are free to explore and experience, with or without others. The inspiration for this project were several retreats in complete darkness, each one of them lasting for more than a week. Is there anything valuable in the darkness? Does the outcome have to be rationalized? There are no jumpscares, no threats, no sudden lights or loud sounds. Just safe space and curiosity. You should not be afraid of darkness. You are invited to take your swimsuit with you and leave any concepts at home.

Participation by invitation only. The project will take place at Kunsthøgskolen in Oslo from 07.05.2026 till 23.5.2026.
