El Djarida: showcase

El Djarida: showcase

El Djarida is one of the few Norwegian contributions to the international mail art movement that connected artists from all over the world in an unofficial postal-based network.

Inspired by this, second year MA students in Graphic Design and Illustration Louise Bouvelot, Jennifer Geeb, Marcus Jørgensen, Nele Kram, Elizabeth Madeley, Julie Ngo, Moa Nilsson and Mary Wilson, have each developed their own independent project that engages in dialogue with the magazine's legacy - through continuation, criticism, transformation or reinterpretation. The finished works span different formats and approaches, and are presented in a joint exhibition.

On the opening of the exhibition (18:00, 16 Dec), we invite you to a conversation about reading El Djarida led by art historian and author Lars Mørch Finborud.
