Room for Innocence / Pavlina Lucas
Room for Innocence is an immersive installation by Pavlina Lucas that houses William Blake´s Auguries of Innocence and attempts to embody the themes of the poem.
Innocence as a sacred state, often betrayed and destroyed by cruelty and injustice. The universe as an interconnected space where the divine is present in the small and ordinary and the eternal in the fleeting. Duality and paradox. The installation can be seen as a quiet act of resistance, carving out a space for purity and wonder. You are invited to read, feel, and contemplate Blake´s lines and take a copy of the poem with you.
There will be no vernissage or finissage.
Pavlina Lucas is Professor of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at KHiO.
