Avgang 2025: Katerina Kalantranaki / Not Ready Said
Not Ready Said is Katerina Kalantranaki´s graduation project in Master's Programme in Comparative Dramaturgy and Performance Research at KHiO.
My thoughts take shape as images, as spaces, as a long chain.
Not Ready Said is a work in progress about inner-communication and artistic expression. It always will be, as we all continuously self-reflect and seek to understand ourselves - to explore the many dimensions of our minds and translate them into forms that we can share, and that others can connect with.
My creativity sparks in the morning. My creativity sparks when in the sauna. My creativity sparks out of the blue.
As the world is a buzzing thing of different languages, not only vocal but also perceptive ones, will we ever be close enough to articulate this inner exploration?
Five interdisciplinary students attempt to connect the dots among the impact of language as a tool, the understanding of (self-)communication and the insights that artistic expression can offer. Through relational, score-based dramaturgy and autofiction, we shape thoughts into artistic forms and open a space for less institutionalized communication where we invite everyone to relate, reflect, or daydream.
I dream of being on stage and all the audience walks away.
I dream that everything turned out to be okay.
I dream of the sun at night and of the moon in the day.
I dream about escaping collapse by solving mysteries, occasionally featuring magic.
I dream of what I want to feel.
How do your internalized thoughts take shape and form?
