Avgang 2025: Sunniva Moen Rørvik / Big Papa Slug – The Musical
The performance Big Papa Slug – The Musical is Sunniva Moen Rørvik’s graduation project in master choreography at KHiO.
Big Papa Slug and the sluggylicious divas take you on a tour of their bizarre and wondrous world in this premiere, extravaganza and debut.
Forever on new excursions, Big Papa Slug appears - as a russegutt, a pop star and a Namsos cultural educator.
And in the spirit of their queer ancestry, Big Papa Slug is always joking but is never a joke. They want to reel you in and let you loose, shake KHiO’s floors a little and sneak dyke camp past you while you bounce along to DDE. Don’t worry darlings, all instructions are included.
Pulling from their childhood cultural memory, moments of Norwegian adolescence run through their work, seeming familiar and yet strange or queer. See what you recognise in your own nostalgia, as we come together and bond over the silly things.
Both charming and defiant, Big Papa Slug is building their own dance floor. From trønderrock to trans rights, this is a performance you need to not just witness, but truly listen to.
"From trønderrock to trans rights, this is a performance you need to not just witness, but truly listen to. Come watch us fail spectacularly and enjoy living the fantasy"
