Avgang 2024: Elise Dypvik / In Still

The exhibition In Still is Else Dypvik's individual MFA graduation project.

The exhibition In Still is conceived as a sensory installation that explores the interplay between calm and disruption. As the sun outside settles, a landscape of soft fabrics, illuminated sculptures, and sound invites the viewer to engage in an harmonious atmosphere. Yet, as visitors enter, the space reacts in fear and hostility, viewing the unfamiliar presence as threatening. The work offers an exploration on how movement and stillness shape both our surroundings and our emotional landscape.

Elise Dypvik is an artist based in Oslo currently completing her MFA at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Employing installations, sculpture and sound, Dypvik explores the intersection of digital and physical space. She asks questions about the individual human perspectives, and how emotions and memories shape our perceived reality.

Opening: 7th of March 19:00 8th-14th of March 19:00-23:00

MFA graduation projects

The final year Master students will present individual graduation projects in different spaces at KHiO and around Oslo. These projects will be diverse in form and will take place at different times during the spring semester. Some of the projects will open simultaneously. The graduating students will also collectively explore the group format in a curated group exhibition.
