Save NTA Forever

In solidarity with NTA, the student committee of the theatre department at KHiO are inviting to a short form seminar followed by a demonstration.

As many of you are aware, the board members at Østfold University College have decided to close down the Norwegian Theatre Academy (Akademiet for scenekunst).

In solidarity with NTA, the student committee of the theatre department at Oslo National Academy of the Arts, (KHiO), are inviting students and alumni from different theatre schools in Norway, as well as other interested parties, to a short form seminar where this decision and its consequences for the theatre field will be addressed. 

Digital attendance will be made possible for those unable to travel to Oslo.

We are inviting a selection of guest speakers to provide some insight to the situation and hopefully also inspire us towards mobilizing and finding solutions together as we move forward towards an uncertain future for the Norwegian theatre scene.

The seminar will take place at stage 3 at KHiO, from 13:00 to 15:00 on the 29th of January. To find your way there, follow the “Save NTA Forever” signs from the reception area at the main entrance of KHiO.

As a continuation of the seminar, NTA students and alumni invites you all to join in a collective protest walk to Stortinget, followed by a demonstration there at Eidsvoll plass.

If you are unable to come to the seminar or the walk from KHiO to Stortinget, you are still encouraged to meet up in front of Stortinget at 16:00 to join the demonstration, which will last for approximately one hour. Remember warm clothes!
