Art & Craft lectures: Blanca Pujals: “The Geopoliticis of Materials”

Along the history, bodies, territories, organisms, the organic and the inorganic have been designed and managed for an efficient extraction and
manipulation of materials and data, embedded in technologies, which relentlessly scan matter in search of new forms of intervention, unveiling different forms of possession, property, rights and conflicts.

The Art and Craft Lectures, hosted by the Art and Craft Department at Oslo National Academy of the Arts, is an annual lecture series devoted to art education, research, theory, and politics. The program, curated by Sara R. Yazdani and Susanne M. Winterling, nurtures an interdisciplinary exchange of practice and theory.
