Talking Matters

Talking Matters

This symposium makes an inquiry into the language of the materials; How do we talk and articulate the essence of matter?

Material practices in design are inherently tactile. For sharing our processes we also need other forms of communication. We use samples, images, drawings, numbers, but we are also in the need of words.

The invited speakers Ingrid Aspen, Nina Havermans, and Zoe Jo Rae will address the issue in a panel discussion.

The symposium is organised in collaboration with the ongoing Connecting Wool -research project between KHiO and Tama Art University from Japan.
