Avgang 2023: Push Majeure
In this performance Ingvild Bertelsen (she/they) researches how aggressiveness and images of violence and anger can be used as a productive force, rather than just a notion of destruction.
She does this by transforming movements and behaviour prone to subcultures such as punk and metal, taking them out of their usual context. To see the potential of violence and anger as a productive force, Ingvild has investigated ways to distinguish between how and why it has been used. Talking from an intersectional point of view, how do violent and aggressive acts differ depending on whether it’s rooted in immoral treatment, or a behaviour to maintain an oppressive situation? How are the affects of those acts felt on the body?
Accompanied live by Maria W. Kvalheim (she/her), the audience is invited into a smaller, intimate space, where their level of comfort and sense of risk might be tested.
