Give Them Wings & We Shall See Their Faces - Performance-in-Progress

By PhD research fellow, Sally E. Dean, Design Department

Enter a costume sensorium awakening the absence and presence of others and within ourselves. Ritual acts of dressing, walking and listening, with eyes closed, prepare us to be touched by the invisible but tangible.
One to one guides and poetic sound scores, lead us on a journey of honouring the ´missing´ through the touch of coats, feathers and cloth masks, and the surrounding live water installation.

This is an immersive performance that involves touch. Prebooking required. 12 audience max per show. To book your place, please email Sally at salldean@khio.no. Please specify whether you would like to be a witness (eyes open) mostly sitting or a traveler (eyes closed), mostly exploring. It also includes an audience feedback session led by Irish choreographer/somatic educator Joan Davis.

This event is part of Sally´s PhD midterm assessment. It is followed by her midterm presentation on mon., aug. 29, 10:00 to 12:30.
