Design Talks
Design Talks are a series of lectures, symposia, discussions and seminars held by the Design Department at The Oslo National Academy of the Arts in order to extend debates and discourse amongst the staff and students alike. The forums aim to bring into focus the role of design from a social and cultural perspective, and enable critical debate so as to shed light on the contrasting roles of design in our contemporary society.
They consist of three forms of discussions and debate:
- Design Talks – where invited speakers giving lectures on given topics.
- Design Talks Research Forum – where the focus is on given research projects or the works of PhD researchers shared with a larger audience, and
- Design Talks Critical Forum – that address particular issues with design from a critical and questioning perspective.
These talks are open to the community of KHiO, our alumna body and members of the public.
