Tim Ingold's lecture during Artistic Research Week

Tim Ingold's lecture during Artistic Research Week

The internationally renowned British anthropologist Tim Ingold delivered a lecture on the theme of contemporaneity and heritage, drawing on the passage of generations—a topic he explored in his recent book The Rise and Fall of Generation Now (2024).

Furthermore, he will propose how we can aim to frame a new humanism that may take us beyond the polarisation of our present day political moment in history.
Many people wanted to attend the lecture, and there wasn’t room for everyone. Fortunately, you now have the chance to access Tim Ingold’s insights.

Tim Ingold's lecture at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Recording technically facilitated by Jan Petter, Mathias Fjeld and Nicholas Herrera Offernberg.
