Segunda Vez wins FIDMarseille
We congratulate professor Dora García on receiving the prestigious Grand Prix International FIDMarseille for her film Segunda Vez.
Segunda Vez (Second Time Around) is a film and analysis project using the figure of author, critic, artist and psychoanalyst Oscar Masotta (Buenos Aires 1930 – Barcelona 1979) as a trigger to speak about art, politics and psychoanalysis.
Reviewing the film for Cineuropa, Fabien Lemercier finds that “Spanish director Dora Garcia creates an exciting conceptual documentary open to interpretation amidst the backdrop of the Argentinian dictatorship. ... its presentation and the finesse of its narrative structure allow it to extend to several levels of understanding and to open up to its audience without closing itself off from a wide field of interpretation.”
