Isak Wisløff
Isak Wisløff (b. 1989) works across multiple media and materials, with a focus on sculpture/objects, installation, and painting. His practice explores hidden infrastructures, the mystical and the invisible, as well as the interior realities of being human—elements that consistently underpin his work. He is currently working on a film with artist and filmmaker Marius Mathisrud related to his research.
Wisløff holds a master’s degree in design from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In 2023 he attended Piero Golia’s Mountain School of Arts in Los Angeles (US). He is currently pursuing a PhD in artistic research (interior architecture & furniture design) at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, where he previously worked as an assistant professor in furniture design in the Department of Design.
Wisløff is the co-founder of the artist-run space Hulias in Oslo, which he has run together with two fellow artists since 2020.
