Galleri Seilduken: Lose, loss, loosening
An exhibition by Elina Nilsson that consists of textiles in various stages of unraveling. Is remembrance always prefered to forgetting?
The threads have been loosened one at a time, by hand, in a process that at the same time is caring and destroying. The work reflects upon states of memory loss and a confrontation between remembering and forgetting.
Elina Nilsson is currently in her final year of an MFA in Medium and Material-based Art at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
Vernissage: Thursday October 18th at 17-19h
Opening hours: October 19th-20th at 12-16h
