Collab. : Kristin Ryg Helgebostad + Laura Marie Rueslåtten

Dancer meet composer/bellringer on Monday 1.10 for the second Collab.

Laura Marie Rueslåtten and Kristin Ryg Helgebostad have collaborated since 2008. Together they explore the encounter between handbells and choreography in different contexts. The show ME TOO in 2015 was a collaboration together with the artists Thale Kvam Olsen, Martin Myrvold, Sigrid Kopperdal, Irene Theisen, Marianne Kjærsund and Berglind Rafnsdottir. ME TOO has toured nationally and internationally and resulted in the handbell-band Ula Metall.

During the evening they will present parts from different productions, as well as something from their upcoming show CHEERS, that opens at Dansens Hus 23.11

Kristin Ryg Helgebostad (born 1984) is a graduate of Oslo National Academy of the Arts with a MA in choreography and a BA in modern and contemporary dance. She is active in the artist constellations Helgebostad / Rueslåtten, Berstad / Helgebostad, Wigdel / Berstad / Helgebostad, Norwegian Landscape Theatre, Berstad / Helgebostad / Brun and Historisk Grunn and others. She welcomes a wide range of performative expressions to her work and, in addition to the possibilities of the scene format, she is also interested in projects that are inextricably linked with other contexts.

Laura Marie Rueslåtten (born 1984) has a seven-year soloist education from the Scandinavian cloister school in Løgumkloster, Denmark. Contemporary music is Laura Marie's main genre. She has a penchant for crossover projects that merge bell ringing and dance, sound and taste, or bells and other instruments.

In Oslo City Hall Laura Marie plays concerts every Sunday during the summer months and on special occasions, such as at official state visits, the Nobel prize ceremony and the events in the City Hall and City Hall Square. Laura Marie has done a number of solo performances both at home and abroad.
