Print matters: Wrocław School of Printmaking
Print Matters grows from the conviction that printmaking matters not only as an artistic medium, but also as a space for relationships, shared knowledge, and the formation of artistic communities.
The Wrocław School of Printmaking has been shaped across generations through education, collective practice, long-standing friendships, and an ongoing exchange of experience. Its distinctive character emerges from the meeting of individual artistic positions, workshop traditions, and a persistent openness to experimentation and change.
Here, printmaking becomes more than a technique. It is a way of thinking through images, of learning from one another, and of carrying knowledge forward. Print Matters therefore speaks not only to the significance of printmaking itself, but also to the relationships and forms of exchange that allow an artistic practice, and an artistic community, to endure, transform, and remain alive.
