Short Stories 2026

Short Stories 2026

Short Stories is a collaboration between the master's students in choreography and design (clothing- and costume design) and the third-year bachelor's students in contemporary dance at KHiO (Oslo Academy of the Arts), composition students at NMH (Norwegian Academy of Music), and Teknisk Museum.

The project involves five interdisciplinary teams that explore Teknisk Museum as both a location and a space for cross-disciplinary collaboration. Each team contributes to SHORT STORIES by working site-specifically within the museum's extensive collections.

The project began with a one-week workshop that introduced site-specific art projects, interdisciplinary collaboration, music composition and sound work in public spaces, space as a score for movement, the museum's collections, and their historical context. This was followed by a three-week independent development phase in which students worked with a self-chosen site as both a material and a starting point. The project concludes with a week-long series of public performances at Teknisk Museum.
