Avgang 2025: Bli / Stay

Avgang 2025: Lova Hiselius / Bli / Stay

With the exhibition Bli / Stay, Lova Hiselius presents her individual MFA graduation project.

Do things appear when we point out their absence?

Consequently, a pigeon appeared, pacing back and forth on the traffic island between the buses. It emerged through its own resistance, like a lost necklace that is found, a reappearing shadow in a window, or a cloud of raindrops stalling mid-air. It all begins with a shift in reality.

With the exhibition Bli / Stay, Lova Hiselius presents a series of paintings with repeated motifs and a site-specific, shivering glass installation, inviting reflections on presence, absence, and the fleeting moments and overlooked details that shape our perception of reality.

Lova Hiselius (b. 1997, Stockholm) is a visual artist based in Oslo. She works interdisciplinary with painting and installation. Through phenomena such as the shadow, the ghost, the imprint, and the reflection, she explores the boundaries between presence and absence in motifs, and the relationship between the material and the immaterial. In recent years, she has participated in exhibitions at Liljevalchs (Stockholm), Sorgenfri, Billedkunstnerne i Oslo, and Podium, and was one of the participants in the OsloCity#12 summer residency at Podium (Oslo).

MFA graduation projects

The final year Master students will present individual graduation projects in different spaces at KHiO and around Oslo. These projects will be diverse in form and will take place at different times during the spring semester. Some of the projects will open simultaneously. The graduating students will also collectively explore the group format in a curated group exhibition.
