This project is centered around my time at the art academy and how meeting different people has shaped my idea of being an artist. It's a personal journey that's always changing, and one that many people probably can relate to.

I've designed this exhibition to be a reflection of that constant change. I'll be doing a bit of everything—writing, painting, performing, showing a film—to delve into these thoughts and experiences. "The Housewarming Party" is an invitation to witness an honest journey, marked by constant transformation and a celebration of the simple moments that define our artistic lives.

I want to address the way peoples opinion and taste shapes the work artists like me make, or try to make. At the same time, I explore what happens when artists like me don’t want to make art that seems valuable, commercial or on trend.

This exhibition continues from a previous project where my co-performer and I set up a cardboard house in a gallery, capturing the struggle of constant movement shown through a go-pro livestream, visitors entering and leaving, and the pointlessness of being left with a house that's bound to be moved again. Now, I'm in a new space, exploring the constant changes, and maybe realizing that what I think is change is just a pattern of the same thoughts, almost the opposite of change—walking in circles, trying to find meaning.
