Information for Examiners

About examiners guidelines and more.

The Examiner Guideline

The examiner guideline is an important tool to ensure that the assessment of the student’s exam work is carried out on a common and academically sound basis. It aims to contribute to fairness, quality, and predictability in the examination process.

Why is the Examiner Guideline important?

The examiner guideline should:

  • Ensure a shared understanding of the assessment criteria
  • Contribute to equal and fair assessment of students' performances
  •  Fullfill the requirements in the Universities and Colleges Act § 11-7, third paragraph, which states that a written examiner guideline must be prepared for all exams.
