Textile
The textile workshops at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts include facilities for fabric/silkscreen printing, a dyeing workshop, digital textile printers, variously sized looms and table looms, a digital Jacquard loom, an embroidery machine, various sewing machines and both digital and manual knitting machines.
Looms
The loom workshop has a great selection of looms, a yarn depository and a dyeing workshop. It is possible to spin your own yarn on spinning wheels, dye the yarn at the dyeing workshop and weave on small and large scale tapestry looms, table looms, computer-controlled looms and the digital TC 1 Jacquard loom. The workshop also includes sewing machines and an embroidery machine, as well as large surfaces to work on.

Fabric printing
The fabric printing workshop contains several large printing tables, including a table with a cart for report printing. There is an abundant amount of silkscreen printing equipment, such as screen printing frames, a light table, high-pressure washers, a drying cabinet, an A2 inkjet printer for films, and semi-automatic hand tables.
The workshop also includes a digital, large-scale textile printer, A3 scanner, colour lab, fixation equipment for steaming, large cabinet for dry-heat fixation, light table, sewing and overlock machine, vacuum board, transfer presser, separate room for working on strong acids and bases, archive of print samples, and material depository with a wide selection of fabric qualities in regard to printing, colours and chemicals.
The laundromat has large rinsing sinks, both an industrial and a domestic washing machine, an industrial tumble-dryer, a drying cabinet, a centrifuge and a Hollander beater (for making pulp).

Sewing
The needlework workshop has a large machine park with both domestic machines and specialised industrial machines within needlework and ironing techniques: industrial straight stitch machines and zigzag and blind stitch machines, industrial overlock machines, industrial ironing equipment, a hemming machine, upholstery sewing machines, a cobble sewing machine, a welding machine and a buttonholer.

Knitting
The knitting workshop is equipped to be able to communicate with the textile and knitwear industry. It includes, among other things, two digital knitting machines, twelve hand-knitting machines and other production equipment such as steamers, overlockers and linkers. At the knitting workshop, students can produce textiles for e.g. clothes and furniture.
