Open Forum: Victoria Durnak - People I have Thought of Lately

New technology keeps challenging our established social rules and codes, something artist and fiction writer Victoria Durnak’s practice aims to discuss in a sore, humorous, slightly desperate and recognizable manner.

Time: Monday, February 25 at 19.00. Student beer and free soup from 18.00. Khartoum is open 17:00-00:00.
Place: Khartoum Contemporary Art Center, Bernt Akers Gate 17.

People I have Thought of Lately

Victoria Durnak (b. 1989, Oslo) will present her practice, which investigates how people meet today, how capitalism pervade our intimate connections, why so many people feel lonely now and what surveillance might mean for individuals.

Open Forum
is a student run initiative from the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo that runs at Khartoum Contemporary Art Center (KCAC) every other Monday night. Open Forum seeks to create a meaningful exchange of ideas and a dynamic space for dialogue and debate between art students, artists and others. The talks are structured around different topics, from those closer to artistic and curatorial practices to other of social and political relevance.
