Interstice

Interstice

Welcome to experience the live-installations by MA students from Interior Architecture & Furniture Design and Choreography.

Interstice in architecture may refer to the small-undefined gaps between the structures that are nor inside or outside. Or as in medicine, interstice may be the space between individual cells. Interstitial arts suggest works that fall in between existing categories of disciplines or genres. We have used the theme of interstice as the entry point to investigate the particularities of spaces between bodies, people and things, things and things and between two professions.

The presented works are studio-based investigations springing out of a 3-week joint workshop with the two respective disciplines. The course has been led by professors Anne Grete Eriksen and Toni Kauppila.

Thursday 21.1. at 12, meeting in KHiO reception.
