Silje Iversen Kristiansen: Poached Egg People Poems
BA3 student at the Academy of Fine Art, Silje Iversen Kristiansen, has been thinking about stories told by her colleagues at work, and the poetic way they were told.
… The secret of the human condition is that there is no equilibrium between us and the surrounding forces of nature, which infinitely exceed us when in inaction; there is only equilibrium in action by which we recreate our own life through work. Our greatness is always to recreate life, to recreate what is given to us, to fashion that very thing which one undergoes. Through work one produces one’s own natural existence. …
– after Simone Weil’s “Gravity and Grace” (1953).
