Akademirommet: Anna Daniell - The Flock of Problems

Akademirommet: Anna Daniell - The Flock of Problems

I am happy to invite you to sit down and look at (my) sculptures (the Flock of Problems) for 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

You will listen to sound (music) and look at the sculptures and nothing more (physically) will happen (on stage)

The Flock of Problems consists of 7 abstract sculptures representing different unsolved problems within different disciplines. After I met and spoke with various professors and scientists at the University of Oslo, each of them helped me to define an unsolved problem within their own scientific discipline. Altogether 7 problems were defined: in medicine, geology, astrophysics, media, mathematics and psychology.

I welcome you to come and look at the problems.

Anna Daniell
-a static sculpture theatre-

Doors open at 6.45 pm and close at 7 pm.

Anna Daniell has previously exhibited sculptures in the woods, on a plank shelf, at a sports stadium, in film, with dance and through text. These sculptural projects have been as much about trying to show sculptures in different contexts as trying to look at the sculptures in a new way. She is currently taking a master in fine art at Kunstakademiet in Oslo.

Thank you Vegard Hegstad, Rike Frank, Dag Erik Elgin, Mike Sperlinger, Jan Verwoert, Susanne Winterling, Jim Særnblom, Sverre Strandberg, Ray Hagelbach, Kaja Leijon, Jessica MacMillan, Ane Thommessen Graff, Jan Erik Mikalsen, Maria Romstad, Katarzyna Daniell og Jozef Daniell. For conversations and feedback.
