Book as a place

For the last few months, 8 intrepid graphic design and illustration master students have been asked and have been asking; “What is a book?”

Can a pile of loose papers be a book?
What about one long piece of paper?
Does there have to be any paper involved at all? – etc.

And, finally – what happens when we try and use the book format to give a sense of place?

They invite you to see the outcome of their questioning: 8 places represented by more than 8 books.*

Please join MAGI1 in the place formally known as ‘the area in front of the service desk’ this Thursday the 28th from 16:00.

*or are they books?
