Ines Weizman: Documentary Architecture. Modern Architecture between Haifa and Beirut.

A lecture with the architectural historian Ines Weizman, her latest research with the Centre for Documentary Architecture on modern architecture in Haifa and Beirut of the 1930s and 40s.

The lecture is organized in collaboration with Petrine Vinje, artist and PhD research fellow at KHiO, Art and Craft Department.

Ines Weizman is Head of the Architecture PhD Programme at the Royal College of Art in London and the founding director of the Centre for Documentary Architecture (CDA), an interdisciplinary research collective of architectural historians, filmmakers, and digital technologists. She is the former director of the Bauhaus Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture and Planning. Further, she is the author of Documentary Architecture. Dissidence through Architecture (2020) and editor of the anthology Dust & Data: Traces of the Bauhaus across 100 Years (2019).

Arkitekturhistorikeren Ines Weizman presenterer deler av sitt forskningsprosjekt på moderne arkitektur i Beirut og Haifa på 1930- og 1940-tallet.

Foredraget er arrangert i samarbeid med Petrine Vinje, kunstner og stipendiat ved kunst og håndverk, KHiO.

Ines Weizman er programleder for MPhil / PhD Architecture ved Royal College of Art i London og har stiftet Center for Documentary Architecture (CDA), et tverrfaglig forskningskollektiv av arkitekturhistorikere, filmskapere og digitale teknologer. Hun har tidligere vært direktør for Bauhaus-instituttet i Weimar. I tillegg er hun forfatteren av "Documentary Architecture. Dissidence through Architecture" (2020) og redaktør for antologien "Dust & Data: Traces of the Bauhaus across 100 Years" (2019).

Petrine Vinje har hovedfag fra Institutt for farge, KHiO og har deltatt på en rekke gruppeutstillinger, både i Norge og internasjonalt. On Interface Questioning Memory, Matter and Meaning through the Haptic er hennes doktorgradsprosjekt som stipendiat i kuntnerisk utviklingsabeid ved KHiO.
