CANCELLED Guest Lecturer: Elisabeth Haarr

CANCELLED Guest Lecturer: Elisabeth Haarr

Elisabeth Haarr (born 1945) is one of Norway’s most exciting and influential textile artists. We are incredibly fortunate and delighted to welcome her to KHiO this March.

CANCELLATION
Sadly Elisabeth Haarr has had to cancel her visit to KHiO, that was scheduled for 5. March, because of ill health. She hopes to make the visit later this semester when her health improves.

Elisabeth Haarr has been making textile art for more than five decades expressing political issues in a strong but poetic way. Haarr’s career bridges a woven tradition developed by artists such as Hannah Ryggen and Synnøve Anker Aurdal.

Haarr will talk about her practice over the last 50+ years, about her education and she will present one of her works that she thinks is a disaster and explain why.

All are welcome!
